Yesterday, the Public Service Commission issued a decision that it would not force the long-sought after “plume model” to be released.

A scene showing a CO2 pipeline in a remote, industrial area with a significant rupture, releasing large amounts of toxic gas into the air. The pipeline, made of metal and running along a barren landscape, has a visible break with gas billowing out in dense clouds. The sky is overcast, and the surrounding area appears desolate and contaminated, with no vegetation. The gas plume rises, casting an ominous, toxic atmosphere in the scene, creating a sense of environmental disaster.

The “plume model” is the essentially computer-generated “simulation” showing what will happen if something bad happens and there is a physical rupture to pipeline itself that is not caught in time.
